Material examined. 1 female. CHINA, Hainan province, Yinggeling Nature Reserve, 20-V-2005, leg. Min Wang. 1 female. CHINA, Hainan province, Jianfengling Nature Reserve, 9-V-2005, leg. Min Wang and Liu-sheng Chen (SCAU) .
Identification notes. Wingspan about 57 mm. Forewing darkish brown with a little off white, forewing brownish grey with a big white speckle, reniform and orbicular stigma obscure. Hindwing apricot with a white spot at apex, terminal band black and broad, without discal spot.
Diagnosis. S. albifascia can be separated from other Sarbanissa species by the following characters: forewing with a big and white speckle, reniform and orbicular stigma vaguely invisible; hindwing with terminal band continuous, apex relatively wide with a small white spot.
Distribution. China (Neimenggu, Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Guangdong, Hainan), India, Myanmar, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, (Chen 1999; Kononenko & Pinratana 2005; Park et al.2007; Kirti et al. 2014).
