Type Locality: Vietnam, Tonkin, Lao Key Prov., near Chapa, Rochepercée cave, 1,700 m.
Vernacular Names: Bourret's Horseshoe Bat.
Distribution: Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, and China.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Vulnerable.
Discussion: philippinensis species group. Redescribed by Hill (1972 b); also see Hendrichsen et al. (2001 b). Corbet and Hill (1992) suggested that paradoxolophus may be conspecific with rex, but see Eger and Fenton (2003).
