Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: fumigatus species group. Does not include eloquens or perauritus, but does include aethiops; see Koopman (1975). Subspecies boundaries are not well delimited. See Taylor (2000 a) for distribution map.
